If your reason for moving off JOIN.com is data sovereignty, the comparison gets simpler. KI BMS is hosted in Germany on infrastructure we operate ourselves - no US-headquartered company in the request path. The CLOUD Act does not reach what physically lives here.

At a glance

JOIN.com is right when you need multi-job-board distribution and want a modern sourcing tool - the setup is optimised for 'pull more applications in'. KI BMS is right when you want KI pre-sort with per-application reasoning and a GDPR-clean tool with auto-anonymisation - the setup is optimised for 'extract the right ones from the applications'. Both monthly cancellation; both have a free tier.

EU jurisdiction

What 'EU-hosted' actually means here, end to end

KI BMS runs on dedicated machines we operate ourselves, physically located in Germany. There is no US-headquartered subprocessor in the request path - the data plane (your records, your files, your audit log) lives entirely in EU jurisdiction. Two third parties exist outside that boundary: Stripe (payment information only, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and the mail relay for transactional email. Neither sees your records. JOIN.com's setup is the variable - if their primary infra is US-based, the CLOUD Act applies regardless of what their privacy page claims.

When to pick which

Pick KI BMS when

You have enough application volume - the problem is reading time, not distribution.
GDPR auto-anonymisation + audit log are must-haves, not nice-to-haves.
You want an API-first platform with MCP + 15 drop-in clients for custom integrations.

Pick JOIN.com when

Distribution is your bottleneck - you want one role auto-posted to 30+ boards.
Your sourcing activity runs through the tool: LinkedIn outreach, mass outreach, pipeline building.
You're already happy with JOIN and there's no driving need to switch.

EU-jurisdiction questions

Specific to where the data lives, who can subpoena it, and what crosses borders.
